THE YEAR IN PHOTOS – 2011 Jon Hillenbrand, December 22, 2011December 30, 2015 In 2011, I shot more than 20,000 photos, keeping around 17,000 of them, at 343 photo shoots (not including physician headshots). Someone in my office suggested that I do a, “Photos of the Year,” but narrowing down 17,000+ photos to 24 or so that are the best is maybe too difficult for me to accomplish in one or two afternoons. So, I’ve narrowed it down to just under 200 picks. Where I can, I’ve added captions to explain what’s going on in the photo, my impressions at the time, behind the scenes photo setup info, etc. For now, enjoy this group of my favorites from this year. Thanks for watching. Check out the individual pics for the comments on Flickr. Photography 2011flickrphotographyphotosphotos of the yearthe year in photoswrapupyear end

Photography Human Arrogance October 12, 2009October 17, 2019 There’s a moth riding the inside of an invisible cylinder as fast as he can downstairs around the light near where I get my mail. These struggles seem minor to others, but to me they always pose a moral challenge. Should I show the moth where the door is? Beyond… Read More
