Jon Hillenbrand’s “Run for your Life 5K” Jon Hillenbrand, August 2, 2015October 17, 2019 The culmination of a 12 week Couch to 5K running plan ends today. The training has been the most fun running I’ve ever done. It is a plan that I chose through Garmin Connect, the website that interfaces with my Garmin Fenix 3 watch and tracks my fitness. The plans were all created by a UK company called Full Potential. They base their plans on heart rate, time (instead of distance) recovery and a few other factors that you might not consider when running. It has made the workouts different every day and prevented me from getting injured. WHEN/WHERE: EVANSTON, IL – lakefront Sunday Aug 2nd, 2015 – 8:30am LIVE TRACK: You can follow Jon’s progress live on race day including getting information on his heart rate, pace, GPS location and other metrics. It’s a way of narrowing your throat so that you inhibit exhalations. People do this normally when they purse their lips after they’ve gone on a run. Studies have… Read More
Photography Creative Urges April 29, 2009October 17, 2019 Look at this… [vodpod id=ExternalVideo.817262&w=512&h=296&fv=] There’s creativity, and then there’s blow your mind creativity. As a photographer among many accountants, I’m often labeled as an artist at my admitedly very corporate job. And sometimes that feels good because I want to be someone different from the regular pack animal. I’d… Read More
Thanks to everyone who supported me! I had to walk twice when I got really cold (surprisingly) and I ran way faster than the pace I wanted to set (which caused me to walk), but I was able to finish at a running pace.
