Jon Hillenbrand’s “Run for your Life 5K” Jon Hillenbrand, August 2, 2015October 17, 2019 The culmination of a 12 week Couch to 5K running plan ends today. The training has been the most fun running I’ve ever done. It is a plan that I chose through Garmin Connect, the website that interfaces with my Garmin Fenix 3 watch and tracks my fitness. The plans were all created by a UK company called Full Potential. They base their plans on heart rate, time (instead of distance) recovery and a few other factors that you might not consider when running. It has made the workouts different every day and prevented me from getting injured. WHEN/WHERE: EVANSTON, IL – lakefront Sunday Aug 2nd, 2015 – 8:30am LIVE TRACK: You can follow Jon’s progress live on race day including getting information on his heart rate, pace, GPS location and other metrics. Thanks to everyone who supported me! I had to walk twice when I got really cold (surprisingly) and I ran way faster than the pace I wanted to set (which caused me to walk), but I was able to finish at a running pace.
